The a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School for the Humanities Cologne at the University of Cologne employs this tool for administrative tasks concerning doctoral students. It is exclusively used for the purposes of administrative processing, communication and information regarding your individual doctoral studies, and, in an anonymous form, for statistical evaluation.

The legal basis for this process is Section 12 Landesdatenschutzgesetz (DSG) NRW as well as Section 48(1) and Section 3 Hochschulgesetz (HG) NRW, and Section 1(11) Einschreibungsordnung of the University of Cologne, 18.02.2015.

No personal information is passed on to third parties.

Data will be processed on the appropriately secured servers of the Regional Computing Centre (RRZK).

Personal documents you upload for the purpose of admission will be deleted after the admission process is completed. After the doctoral examination procedure is concluded, only personal information we are legally required to keep will be archived.

You are hereby made aware of Section 5 DSG NRW with regard to the right of access, to rectification, erasure or blocking of personal information granted to all affected persons. Please consult the staff of the doctoral office in this matter.

Furthermore, you have the right of information from the procedure index kept by the appointed data protection supervisor of the University of Cologne (Section 8 DSG NRW).
